Healing.

An easy article about healing tattoos

In fact, no matter how difficult and complicated this process may seem
to you, believe me, it's very simple)

Cognitive:
Tattooing is like a bruise, and no veins or bones will be injured)
The pigment forms the basis of the second layer of the skin (dermis) and stays there (so you understand, the first layer of the skin (epidermis) is constantly exfoliating (normal peeling, tanning, etc.).

After the tattoo, the lymph will be secreted to protect the wound
from external influences and create a crust, and this lymph will contain
pigment particles. And our task is to prevent the crust from forming and
to heal the tattoo completely, carefully and accurately.

General.
Two truths that I can emphasize:
- Cleanliness
- Moisturizing.
It is necessary and important to wash (rinse) and moisturize the tattoo
(so that the lymph does not dry out).

And protection should not be forgotten, and since we do not allow a crust to form, which should protect the wound, we protect it ourselves with ointment and an absorbent diaper.
We wash the tattoo with foam soap, apply ointment, and protect it from external influences with an absorbent diaper, it's simple)
A tattoo can heal without special ointments, but they are extremely
important for it to happen quickly and without unnecessary pigment loss.

Special ointments accelerate the metabolism of the skin (if you can call it that)
and our injured area heals quickly enough.
On average, a tattoo heals and comes off in 3-5 days.
It comes off, peels off, the old layer of skin is washed off, and you can
see a new, shiny one under it)
Procedure:

  • The tattoo must be washed, and it must be washed with soap (preferably foam) to wash off the discharge (lymph) and the remnants of the ointment (wash thoroughly but gently with the palm of your hand).
  • Pat dry with a clean boom towel.
  • Apply a thin or medium layer of ointment (depending on the ointment you use).
  • Protect with an absorbent diaper
  • Voila, you're done!)
The procedure is not complicated (but it's not exact).
Duration:

As I wrote above, a tattoo takes 3-5 days to heal on average, and you will need to do such procedures until the entire layer of old skin comes off.
After it has come off, I advise you to apply a healing ointment for another 3-4 days, but you don't need to protect it anymore because all the damage has healed and there are no open areas.

After 7-10 days, you need to apply a moisturizer/nourishing cream to help the skin restore its balance). It is advisable to moisturize/nourish the tattoo for a long time (a month or two, whoever can do it, of course...)
Notes:

1: There are two cases (but this is not accurate): the master overdid it (then in the vast majority of cases, the pigment in that place will not be particularly good), and the second - you overdid it or vice versa)
50% of the responsibility lies with you, and it's better to try once than to score and
you will regret it later

2: 7-10 days is not a complete healing of the tattoo, but only the initial stage.
The injured layers come to an adequate state after
21-30 days, but this is not the end) The pigment takes much longer to settle, and the stable appearance of your drawing will be at least for this month, and maybe longer)

3: Traces on the diaper after the first night, up to the full imprint of the picture.
Please don't be afraid, your tattoo is not trying to run away, it's normal)

4: In summer, before a ray of sunshine shines on your favorite tattoo,
put 50% SPF sunscreen on it, I beg you)

5: Allergies
The vast majority of people still have allergies, not a frequent thing, but present.
It usually manifests itself in red color and similar shades. Pigments are now trying to make them as absorbable as possible by the body, but individual cases cannot be ruled out. If you suffer from this fate, consult with your tattoo artist and doctor (if necessary).
Healing film:

A good and convenient option, but for special occasions.
Small b&w, small color, just b&w.
Practice with colored pigments and relative scales (medium and larger)
has shown that this option is far from reliable (personal opinion).

Bottom line:
  • Proper healing is very important.
  • I would like to ask my current and future clients to follow my instructions.
  • It is better to try for a week than to correct and injure the skin again.
  • Do not forget that you can always write to me and clarify any question, do not hesitate
